Residence in NSW have been effected by record rainfall in late March 2021. This has subsequently led to waterways rising causing inundation, prevention of access and damage to assets.

Insurers have classified the weekend’s rain event as a Catastrophe which will trigger their focused claims services for policyholders.

We are here to assist in submitting possible claims and providing assistance and guidance on your insurance and claims needs.

Firstly, we trust that you are safe and have done what you can to keep your families and property as well protected as you can. Please continue to listen and adhere to warnings from officials when given.

If in peril contact Emergency Services on 000, if to report or obtain assistance for damage, contact the SES on 132 500.

Where possible and only if safe to do so, take steps to mitigate or reduce the potential for any further damage occurring. Keep a record of any costs incurred, in most cases these are claimable under your policy’s coverage.

In reality, during and immediately after major storm and flood events, not much can be done until waters recede, access is granted/obtained in order to assess and report damage that has occurred.

If you have suffered damage and wish to report a claim or potential claim, you can contact your Insurer directly either by phone or online. Or Alternatively, you can contact our office on 1300 739 861 or submit the incident using our online claim form.

Where possible, please try to retain evidence of any damage including by taking photos. This will assist in the claims process.
